Stress Response
Life brings moments of feeling overwhelmed and unsure. In this lesson, we emphasize the importance for young people to understand they're not alone in these experiences. Stress is a normal part of life, and learning to manage it is crucial. Through this video and accompanying curriculum, we aim to empower them to spot stress triggers and understand their own boundaries. Teaching them to listen to their body's cues, as they often provide clear guidance. Most importantly, reassuring them that they're supported and not alone on this journey.
Self-Esteem
Ever had that sinking feeling of messing up because things didn't go as planned? This video and curriculum will help to remind our youth that making a mistake doesn't define you as a failure. In fact, messing up often teaches us valuable lessons that success can't. Learning to embrace those slip-ups is an opportunity for growth and learning. The curriculum highlights that these stumbles can be a stepping stone towards improvement. Help us guide our youth to overcome the fear of failure and discover the resilience to bounce back and try again!
Social Media & Digital Health
Ever found yourself endlessly scrolling through social media? So do many young people. This video and accompanying curriculum explore how social media can be a great way to connect, but it can also make us feel pretty down about ourselves. Plus, spending too much time on your phone can mess with your mind. It disrupts sleep, leaves you feeling irritable, and fills your head with negativity that can ruin your day. These lessons highlight the importance of taking a break from your phone. They encourage stepping outside, getting active, and spending time with friends in person, away from screens.
Relationships
This video is all about understanding how being kind to yourself can make you feel better and improve your relationships with others. The curriculum helps you to teach young people to take a moment to relax, be nice to themselves like they would to a friend, and stay positive. Because, remember, how we speak to ourselves is just as important as how we speak to others. When we stop saying mean things to ourselves, we can focus on doing things we enjoy and be better at helping our friends and ourselves. Just keep in mind, your thoughts can change how you feel, so try to think happy thoughts!
